BOOK 1 – THE INVASION
Chapter 1
Will accelerates his small red sedan through a lonely road. Music flows through the car, with Will singing aloud. Both sides of the road are lined with pine trees. Will turns up the volume knob.
Suddenly, a stag come out of nowhere. Will presses his foot on the brake pedal and the car skids to a halt, throwing the stag a few feet away from the car. Will takes a deep breath and he stares at the fallen stag. Then the stag stands up with a broken hind limb. It starts to drag itself towards the nearby trees, without making a sound.
“I am sorry,” Will mumbles, looking at the poor stag.
Then, all of a sudden, a blue light beam come out of nowhere, and it strike the stag, which immediately drops to the dark, tarred road. Will stares at the fallen stag in confusion. Then Will sees it. A thing with elongated hands and legs – similar to an alien, resembling human – come out of the nearby forest from where the stag has come a little while ago.
Panic and confusion has struck Will in his core. Will presses his foot on the accelerator and the car rushes forward, throwing the alien to the back of the car. When Will has thought he made a considerable distance from the alien thing, he looks back. Then horror strikes him. The alien, without any injury, stands up, aiming its gun at Will, firing blue light bolts.
One light bolt shatters the back window; other light bolts has gone astray as will turns his car along a curve on the road. Will takes a deep breath and he thinks what the hell that has been.
Suddenly, the car stops moving. Will floors the accelerator, but the car is not moving. Will pokes his head out through the side window and he looks at the tires. Then he sees it. His car is floating in the air and the tires are rotating at high speed. Then the car begins to move up. Will looks up and sees a flying saucer attracting him along with his car. In panic, Will opens the side door and he jumps outside. But, instead of landing on the road, he become floated in the air.
Then Will sees a blue colored light stream. It has been this stream of light which is attracting him and his car towards the flying saucer. Within seconds, he and his car reach inside a white room, inside the flying saucer. A moment later, the doorway on the floor closes with a hiss and Will and his car drop to the floor. The fall has knocked the wind out of his lungs.
Will stands up, massaging his chest.
“Please, let me out …” Will cries out loud. “Please, let me out …”
There are no windows in this room and Will has no idea where this flying saucer is taking him. He doesn’t even know whether the flying saucer is moving, at all. Will frantically pounds on the white walls with both of his hands.
A moment later, sound of the flying saucer landing somewhere comes. Will impatiently looks in all directions. Then the floor of the flying saucer disappears and Will and his car drops to a white tiled floor. Then the flying saucer fly up and it fly away through a doorway on the ceiling. As soon as the flying saucer vanishes from his view, the ceiling closes with a white colored roof. Will has indeed seen blue colored sky, just before the roof has closed.
“Please, let me out …”
No response come. In fact, Will cannot hear any sound. All of a sudden, a hiss come from behind him. Will looks back and sees a doorway. Will looks in all directions. He can see white walls everywhere and he sees no other doorway.
Will quickly walks towards the doorway. Before long, he exits the room and enters into a white hallway. Then Will hears screams coming from here and there. Will slowly goes near the wall and he places his ear on the wall, tuning his ear to hear the sound. Then he hears it clearly. He can hear screams from the other side of the wall. Will begins to panic. Then he hears footsteps coming from one end of the hallway. Will runs towards the other end. He knows one thing for certain – whoever coming from the other end has only one goal in their mind – to inflict pain on him.
Will runs and runs. A few minutes later, the screams fade and he sees an open doorway. Sunlight has been seeping inside the hallway through that doorway. Will runs outside, the sunlight for a moment blinds him. When his eyes get adjusted to the surrounding, he finds himself in the middle of a forest. And a huge building is behind him. The building looks like has wholly made up of white colored metal. And he can see a road in front of him.
Will runs through the road, wanting to put as much distance as he can between him and the alien building. Suddenly, a series of swooshes come from the sky. Will looks up and sees a few dozens of flying saucers flying inside the building.
Will quickly enters inside the forest to hide himself from the flying saucers. A moment later, a huge cliff come in front of him. Will looks down and sees a huge city, a few miles away. Then he sees it. Hundreds of flying saucers are in the sky, hovering on top of the city buildings, and fellow humans are flying up into the flying saucers. Screams come from here and there.
Suddenly, a stream of blue light strikes him. Will looks up and sees that a flying saucer has locked on to him.
“Oh, god,” Will mumbles before he disappears from the face of earth. THE INVASION HAS BEGUN!
Chapter 2
Raj wakes up hearing his wife Tess’ scream. Raj throw away the blanket and he rushes towards the kitchen, from where the scream come.
“Tess,” Raj calls out loud.
He passes the living room and enters inside the kitchen. As soon as he is inside the kitchen, he surveys the room, with a worry.
Everything in the kitchen seems alright. But, he doesn’t see Tess there. And Tess’ scream is no more. Then he sees the back door open ajar. Raj quickly rushes outside through the back door. But his wife isn’t there, too.
“Tess,”
Suddenly screams come from the neighboring houses. Raj shifts his gaze at a nearby house. At first, he doesn’t see anything amiss. Then, when he takes a closer look, he sees a stream of blue light coming from above. Raj looks up and horror strikes him in his core. His legs begins to quiver.
A small flying saucer – having the size of a normal helicopter – is hovering above the house. And a stream of blue light is coming out of the flying saucer. Then Raj sees the horror. His neighbor is floating in the air and he is flying in to the flying saucer. Within seconds, the neighbor enters inside the flying saucer and the bottom door of the flying saucer closes, ending the neighbor’s scream.
Panic and worry surges through Raj’s body. In fact, for a moment, Raj freeze where he stood. A moment later, the flying saucer fly away, leaving the neighboring house in silence. Raj shifts his gaze at other houses. There are flying saucers hovering over all the nearby houses. And all his neighbors are flying inside the flying saucers through the stream of blue light.
Within seconds, the neighborhood has fallen in silence. Suddenly, a flying saucer rushes to his position. Raj quickly gets inside the house, standing in the shadow of the roof. The flying saucer for a moment send a stream of blue light, analyzing the back yard. Then it fly away from the scene.
“Tess,” Raj mumbles.
One of the flying saucers must have caught Tess.
“God, what do I do?” Tears uncontrollably come out of his eyes.
Suddenly, a scream come from a nearby house. Based on the sounds, it might be a little kid. Raj wipes his tears using the sleeve of his shirt and he rushes towards the nearby house. Before long, he enters inside the neighboring house and sees a little boy – about seven years old – crying for his mom.
Even though Raj has been living in this place for two years, he doesn’t know his neighbors. Actually, the neighbors usually won’t talk to him.
When the boy sees Raj, he stops crying.
“My mom,” The kid come rushing towards Raj, and he wraps his hands around Raj’s legs. “Please, mister, can you save my mom?”
Raj doesn’t know what to do. He is not good with kids.
“I am sorry, kid.” Raj says, patting the kid’s head.
Raj somehow holds back his tears. He thinks about his baby in Tess’s belly. She has been five months pregnant and now he has no idea whether he can see her alive again.
Suddenly, a series of footsteps come from outside. Raj quickly goes near the window and peers outside. Then he sees it. A dozen of aliens – at least that is what he thinks he is seeing – with elongated limbs and without any cloths, carrying guns in their arms, are walking through the road.
Raj for a moment freeze, looking at the ali ens. Then Raj quickly grabs the boy’s arm and he hauls him towards the back door. As soon as they are outside, in the back yard, Raj runs towards the nearby shrubs. There is a small stream flowing through the land, not far away from them. Raj and the kid hide behind the shrubs.
“Kid, don’t make a sound, okay?” Raj whispers
The kid nods, reluctantly.
Then Raj sees the aliens rummaging through the houses. Sound of things breaking apart come from the nearby houses.
Then, screams come from a few houses, follow by gunshots. A few moments later the aliens hauls the unconscious form of a few people outside the house. A moment later, a flying saucer come from the nearby sky and it hovers over the bodies. Raj can clearly see the rise and fall of the people’s belly – they are definitely alive.
Then a stream of blue light come from the lower part of the flying saucer and the unconscious people begin to go up, through the blue light column. Within seconds, the unconscious people enter inside the flying saucer and the small hole on the lower part of the flying saucer instantly closes. It immediately fly away from the scene.
Raj wants to scream out loud. But, what good it can do? Where is the government in all this? Where are the soldiers? Where are the fighter jets?
Raj carefully watches the aliens. The aliens then move away from the scene, moving deeper into the nearby city. Raj knows one thing for certain – THE WORLD IS DEAD.
Chapter 3
Robin has been checking Facebook on his smart phone when all of a sudden, his phone goes blank. He is certain that his phone has had full charge. But his phone has just gone dead.
“What the heck?”
Robin stands up and he marches towards the charger which is on the nearby wall. He plugs in his phone and he flips the switch. But his phone remains blank. Robin then flips the switch of a bulb, but there has been no electricity.
Cursing something, Robin walks towards his laptop. He presses the power button of the laptop, but it doesn’t come alive.
It seems that, all the electronic equipment in his apartment are dead.
Suddenly, a series of screams come from outside. Robin quickly goes near the window and he peers outside. Then he sees it. People are running in different directions, screaming out loud, and some people are flying up. Robin looks up, but he sees nothing since he is on the ground floor and all the nearby buildings are multi-storied. Curiously, Robin opens the door and he rushes outside.
Before long, he reaches outside. He looks up and he cannot believe what he is seeing. Hundreds of flying saucers are hovering over the buildings and a stream of blue light come out of the flying saucers. It has been this stream of blue light which has made the people to fly up. Then, all of a sudden, the flying saucers fly in low altitude and they begin to capture the running people.
Robin quickly runs with the already running people. He runs and runs. People scream from behind him as the flying saucers catch them. Blue light illuminates the road here and there. Then, a few flying saucers come from in front of him.
With a worry, Robin runs towards the nearby subway. Robin climbs down the stairs and reaches inside the subway platform. The platform is teeming with people. Everyone are at extreme silence and they all are looking for any sound from above, tuning their ears. Robin goes near the stairs and he looks up, at the sky. Several people are still running inside the subway platform. Robin sees a few flying saucers gliding through the air, just above the tarred road.
Within minutes, the whole place falls in silence. Robin and a few men climb the stairs, cautiously looking in all directions. There are no flying saucers in the sky. And everything looks silent. Suddenly, a blue light beam come out of nowhere and it strikes on a nearby man and that man drops unconscious. Robin almost screams out loud. The others nearby Robin run away from the scene, screaming out loud. Robin also runs, in the direction of the subway platform.
There would be hundreds of people in this subway platform, and all of them jump into the railway track and they all run through the subway tunnel. Robin follows the others. A few minutes later, the tunnel gets pretty dark. There is no light source and it seems that, whatever these things are, they knocked out the power.
Suddenly, people in the front line scream out loud. Then, Robin sees a series of blue light rays coming from the other end of the tunnel. Most people run back. And most people tumble down, screaming in pain. Robin sees an exit door on the nearby wall. Robin rushes towards the door and he swing opens it. As soon as he entered inside, he closes it, with panic, without looking whether anyone else is coming. Robin can hear the scream of frantic people from outside. Several people begin to pound on the door from outside, but he doesn’t try to open the door.
Tears of fear uncontrollably ooze down from his eyes. A moment later, everything falls in silence, but the silence is short lived. A series of footsteps come from outside. Then, Robin hears some kind of another language. It must be the fucking aliens! Robin covers his mouth using his hands, to force himself from screaming. The footsteps quickly fades away.
It is then Robin looking at the room carefully. The room is in pitch darkness, but he can see glowing helmets on a nearby shelf. Robin then sees the handle of another door. He turns the knob on the door and it immediately budges. The doorway leads to a staircase. Robin cautiously climbs the staircase. Before long, the staircase ends and he enters into a wide corridor. Everything is in extreme silence.
Robin then sees sunlight seeping in through the one end of the corridor. Robin walks towards that end. As he reaches the end of the corridor, the sunlight for a moment blinds him as he has been in dark for the whole time. As his eyes gets adjusted to the light, he finds himself nearby a road. There are multistory buildings everywhere, but he hears nothing. He looks up at the sky and found several birds flying. And on the road, there is a maze of vehicles. All vehicles have been crashed one another and smoke is rising from the hood of most vehicles.
He sees not a single human soul, anywhere.
One thing is certain – IT IS THE FUCKING ALIENS.
Chapter 4
Ram looks closely on his computer. He thinks he is imagining, but it is a solid truth. Ram raises his right hand. Quickly, an officer come near him.
“What is it, Ram?” The officer asks.
“Sir, it seems that US Navy has just sent an SOS signal.” Ram says.
“What? When and from where?”
“From Los Angeles. Just a few moments ago.”
The officer quickly draw out his radio and he walks away from near Ram.
Ram for a moment thought about the SOS signal. Why would the lord of armed forces, US, send an SOS signal to an Indian naval ship?
Suddenly, the radar began to beep.
“Sir, multiple unknown objects coming from the west.” A cadet yells. The officer come out of his cabin and he walks towards the cadet. Ram stands up and walks towards the radar. Then he sees it clearly. A few dozens of unknown objects are coming directly at their ship.
“Is it the Koreans?” The officer asks.
“Why would they attack us?” Ram asks.
“I don’t know. It must be whoever who attacked the US.” The officer says.
“Sir, the objects are near us.” The cadet says impatiently, with a worry.
“Arm the artillery.” The officer yells.
Everyone inside the room looks at the officer with disbelief. Something big is happening around them. The officer quickly walks towards the upper deck.
Ram for a moment stares at the radar screen. Then he follows the officer. He in fact run through the corridor towards the staircase. Within seconds he reaches the upper deck. Then he sees it. Hundreds of flying saucers are coming towards the ship, firing a kind of blue colored light beams. A ship nearby Ram’s ship exploded into pieces and it sinks into the abyss. Sailors run in different direction. Two or three artillery fires their rounds at the approaching flying saucers. Ram begins to panic. Several sailors scream out loud, yelling commands.
A few light beams from the flying saucers strike Ram’s ship here and there, breaking the hull. Artillery erupts, but only a few manage to find the targets. One or two flying saucers immediately burst into pieces.
